Your 2011 officers are:
Ann Amico Moran - Ann began running “later in life” (couldn’t run a mile until age 31), loves marathoning and is extrememly passionate about the Michiana running community. The second race she ever ran was a marathon, 8 years and 12 marathons later, she has qualified and finished the Boston Marathon twice. She was a member of the 2008 Hood to Coast Sub-Masters Champion team. Her passion for running in our community is exhibited in numerous positions she holds/held in the 5 years she has lived in our community. She is a past employee of the Sunburst Races (4 years as Volunteer Coordinator), now on the Executive Steering Committee for the Sunburst Races, the Innagural and second year Susan G.Komen Race for the Cure Race Director, Committee member of the Father Ted’s Run. My favorite marathon – Boston; favorite time to run – a brisk, fall morning; favorite running motto – “It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish.”; my running inspiration – my mom who took up the sport at age 60. If I can start later in life and be successful in running, anyone can!
Ryan Fenstermaker – Born in LaPorte, Indiana, I started running in 5th grade and haven’t looked back, although basketball was my main sport until my junior year of high school. After LaPorte, I ran cross country and track at DePauw University graduating in 2005 with a degree in Economics. Since that time, I have run marathons in Akron, Grand Rapids, and Boston. My PR’s are 4:24 in the mile, 9:24 in the Steeple Chase, 15:17 in the 5k, 32:30 in the 10k, 1:17 Half Marathon split in Boston, and 2:40 in the 2006 Boston Marathon. I am currently employed with 1st Source Bank.
Don Wisniewski – I have been running for over 20 years and still have all the race T-shirts to prove it. During that time, I have been attacked by dogs, cursed at, swerved at, had garbage thrown at me, and survived twelve consecutive winters of running in Northern Indiana. I plan on qualifying for the Boston Marathon in 2046.
